The app communicates with your Wi-Fi hub (or router) in order to retrieve or set filtered domains. Therefore, this app only supports hubs that provide these features. Additionally, access to these features is normally restricted to an administrator, by specifying a username and password. Hence, the app will need to know this information.
The app will attempt to discover what type of Wi-Fi hub (or router) you have, so you should not need to manually select this. The supported hub types are displayed in the drop-down list.
An Internet Protocol ("IP") address is a numerical label assigned to a device that participates in a computer network that communicates via this same protocol. Human readable versions of these addresses take the format of 4 numbers separated by dots, for example, "192.168.0.1".
If your hub (or router) has been supplied to you, then its IP address can be found in the documents supplied by your hub provider. Nevertheless, the app will attempt to discover this IP address for itself. You should check this value in the Settings screen.
This is the username required to access the hub administrator features. You need to enter this in the app's Settings screen. You'll find it either on the back of the hub/router, or in the accompanying documentation provided by your Wi-Fi provider or manufacturer.
This is the password that accompanies the username. You need to enter this in the app's Settings screen. Again, you'll find it either on the back of the hub/router, or in the accompanying documentation provided by your Wi-Fi provider or manufacturer.
For security reasons, the password is normally hidden. The "Show Password" checkbox allows you to view the password for convenience.
